Hello guys.
Are here any interesting projects to participate in? Searching for some Unreal work..
I can show myself as hobbyists in 3D modelling (learning Blender, know it's basics of model creation and exporting to UEngine 2.0 and 2.1 (Unreal 227i); know MS3D in modelling, now gain experience in animating). Also some knowledge of writing code (not a full noob).
Does anybody need any help? Or know where help can be needed?
As for me I'm currently thinking about few projects:
- converting NW3 ito Unreal 227i
- HD remake of all default UT 99 arsenal (new models, textures, effects, maybe sounds and so on...)
But making something of that alone will take years for me... Does anybody interested?

You should maybe ask Delacroix... it could be that they are still searching.

HD Standard weapons for UT99 would be really good!
I don't really have time but if you need help or test something I can try to help for you

Why don't you use your knowledge to create something not seen b4?

I know. But that will be more possible if Smirtf should orient Unreal 227 patch for UT. Hope that will happen....somewhen.. UT engine still having troubles with rendering more detailed models.ASLYE702 wrote:HD Standard weapons for UT99 would be really good!

For example, in my post about "Ballistic weapons into UT", where i added screenies of my last made model - i ported it into Unreal 227, and it worked fine. Also texture was more detailed, as it is really looks. When i put model into UT - texture become more blurred and i've got editor crash when tried to watch it's 3rd person and pickup models (1st person model worked fine, except animation..dunno why..maybe troubles in cause of skeletal mesh and anims)
I don't have much time and knowledge to create full conversion like Feralidragon, for example, made.TheDane wrote:Why don't you use your knowledge to create something not seen b4?
In other side, i continue my own developments, like weapon that can penetrate walls using projectile, not trace. I have now working code, it works fine even online - limit of bugs is minimal, but steel need improvements. This is a part of adding something from real life.
And finally - i really have no ideas

Re: Searching for projects
As far as I know is skeletal mesh animation not possible for the default models because all of them are vertex animated.Torax wrote:maybe troubles in cause of skeletal mesh and anims
Can someone of the coder-guys confirm this. or am I wrong here?

But new models CAN be ported as skeletal.
