Win7 can't launch ut99 from ued2

Seems like a bad file off the disk, or you have some funky keyboard thing going on.

My guess.

Try one of those CD sector checking programs, clean the disk ?. maybe.

sorry I haven't read all of this thread. My first guess to the problem is that the temp (map) file is not being created for it to launch into. Which is because win7 has different access privileges. You would need an admin user account or install in a relatively obscure folder. Hope you are solved whether this helps or not

okay it appears to work now ... as is, except granted everything possible to the c:\unrealtournament folder, and then deleted the ini files (unrealed, unrealtournament, user).
ran ut first, set some preferences (open gl, audio, video), played face, then loaded the editor, blah blah, loaded a map, built it then ran it and presto joystick works.

winmerge diffed the ini files compared old and the new generated ones - omg craploads of stuff in the old ones ... now i have to put everything back bit by bit to see if it blows up!
