Using the software renderer on the second lowest res and the skin and environment settings on high (setting them to low didn't boost performance noticably) I was able to get UT to run at an average of 17 FPS on a PC with these specs:

OS: Windows 95
RAM: either 32MB or 64MB
Graphics Card: 4MB AGP S3 Virge? or maybe it was some sort of no name card without 3D acceleration forgot which.
Soundcard: ? Some kind of junk card that used an ISA (old!) bus type
HDD: 2GB junk HDD-Had to do a minimal install
CPU: Intel Pentium II

I think it is also irritades, when the visual Light FX are on. I can better locate fiendliy Players, if all Lights are switched off.

Taken Gamma settings high, gives me also enough light to locate and kill enemy.

When i dodge thru the levels, i dont wanna see the details of floor or sky or anything else.... I wanna see the enemy to kill them fast as possible!!!

Rule No. 1:
Let them Live fast but dying young....
