Game of the Year Text on the Menu.

My UT suffered a lot of bugs, because i am dumb.

All the bugs are fixed but now i want the "Game of the Year" text on the menu, i remember i had it before.
How i can add it?

I published this here because in the other forum nobody will help.

The great thing is that my UT is still living today.

So... Hmmmm Game of the Year (GOTY) is a special edition of UT with some additional content, and it is patched by default to last official patch: 4.36
Which version do you have? (in main menu it shows version in upper right corner of the screen)

The first version i played was the 436 GOTY with that text.
The second version is 432 (visual bug, its not the 432.)
Now 436. (but without the GOTY text)

I mean i want this on the menu.

That "Game of the Year" text i had before.

I should mention I have, somewhere or other, the GotY CD and installed it and mine doesn't say that on the UT logo screen like you got up there.

Copy to your /system directory and overwrite the existing file. Back it up first.

I have GOTY too, and GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION is only seen on the splash screen. You really want something that unnecesary ?. Oh Carbon have a solution ;p

The devil is in the details Radi! I am a purist I suppose and would hate to see "Game of the Year" on my UT desktop.

the solution proposed by Carbon should work (even though I never tried it before), anyway you can always use OSX Background Changer mutator so you don't need to touch your game file config

I used it to change my background menu image some months ago (I used the new UT4 logo) because I was tired of seeing the same sad image over the years

yes, there is also a "Cheats" section on that website but I didn't find any reference to OSX Background Changer elsewhere (the original website seems to be offline) and at the moment I can't access to my file database so I'm not able to post that mutator. Anyway, as we all are not interested in cheats, we can simply not read/open those posts but if you prefer, remove that link, no problem at all.

Anyhow, I didn't see anything living to download in the link.

I was going to post the OSX files (also on noccer's site) earlier but Occam's razor rules: the method/file I posted works and is the simplest solution. I tried it on my install first without issue.

Only i need to get all the Bonus packs, because i uninstalled accidentally my UT before and i think i lost some of these files.

Yes, i want my UT 100% upgraded.

While on 432 or 436, Carbon's file (which I extracted this from) could've worked flawlessly, it has no chance to work on 469 or 227. It would be foolish to even try. Ergo, OSXBGC (or Oldskool which contains said functionality in its menus) is the way to go.
