A couple of questions.

Please answer the following:

I. Which mods are your favorites? Why?

II. Which mods you can't live without? Why? (This is different because you may need some of those but they don't have to be your favorites, for example mods that are just small fixes).

III. Which mods do you think need a change or improvement? Please, elaborate on this.

IV. What would you think if someone made an improvement of those mods?

V. How do you think this someone should post this new fixes? (New content, expansion or the same as the original with just a side note of the improvement).

VI. Do you think it is alright to address those issues?

Of course by "mods" I mean everything from voice packs to mutators, everything that is a modification from the original game.

I. EXU2, because it has everything.

II. NoSelfDamage (i don't like to kill myself everytime with the craziest weapons i use always).

III. NoSelfDamage, because had 5000 of damage threshold, but i fixed that (2147483647) :) ,and the death zones need to be fixed because can't kill you.

IV. Good job.´

I work for Epic, we are currently developing the new Unreal Tournament game.

I would like to make some mods and add others to my list, I have downloaded a handful of them but I know there are other good ones I must be missing. I also want to improve some mods that I have seen have small issues or just could be better.

For example, every mutator I have downloaded with the premise of leeching (healing HP after injuring an enemy) has the huge flaw of reducing your health if you go beyond the max amount the leeching heals, so if you take a Keg O' Health and then damage an enemy, your health actually goes down instead of going up or staying where it is. This happens in all the leech and vampire mutators I tried, I have yet to test if they heal by injuring teammates which they shouldn't and I have to test the Headshot Bonus which also heals and perhaps has the same issue.

Strangelove and Siege.

Strangelove is a classic and one of the most popular ut mods.

Siege is the biggest mod out and it allows you to build your own bases.

I. Nali Weapon 3 ... because it got so many new and cool weapon. And it fixed some bot behaviour (the can and do transloc kills) + the very good Ultragore system which can detect what skin is used by player and bots and spawn the giblets and blood depending on it. Robots got silver parts and oil blood for example. Cool melee kills, new Relics system called Multiplier, a new Translocator with blades... and many more.

II. The marginal enhanced bot menu ...I think this was its name. It let you ingame edit more then just the 16 bots and adds some fixes which I can't remember right now.

III. I don't know.

IV.Great... what ever mod this should be.

V. uh ...as usual? To prevent mismatches rename it with a prefix or a version number. But give credits to the original author of the mod.

Chaos is my all-time fave mod, closely followed by Nali Weapons 3
I'm a big fan of Xanth Realism mutator as it makes the game more immersive without changing UT into something else.
I use anywhere up to 30 mutators at a time, and add wildlife to outdoor maps I like.
Almost all my games have zombies and random monsters wandering around to add a distraction, and extra challenge.

BTW. Working "with" and "for" Epic are 2 different things ;)

Well, I have my suspicions as well; anyone who works for Epic would probably identify themselves by their username. They would get a lot more willing and detailed answers that way.

Most mods will likely come from the community and will be distributed for the new UT through the marketplace. I suspect "Unknown" is such a community member who wants to develop mods for the new UT, but only the popular ones, hence the poll.

After "Unknown" identifies themselves as really being an Epic employee, I will reply as they wish. Until then, I might post something over at the official forum asking who "Unknown" is.
