Problem with torch sounds
I get a horrible, loud, rapid sound when on maps with torches. I tried all manner of different configs, drivers etc to no avail. Now here comes the weird bit. I replaced my entire sounds folder with the original from the disc overwriting everything and it fixed the problem BUT only for the first time I play a map with torches. All subsequent maps the problem is right back again. Anyone know what's going on here?

Maybe it depends on your settings (preferably OS?)
If u are using Windows 7, try changing this in your UT.ini:
Latency=40 to 70.
