Looking for quality outdoor maps

Hey,

I am looking for some more quality outdoor maps. Like, with terrain and such. There's only very few known to me and since UT has a gazillion maps available I thought there might be a few more. Why outdoor? Those maps are having a very distinct feeling and force you to play and aim slightly different, increasing overall variety. After a few hundred runs through 256² corridors and 1024³ rooms a bit of that is surely welcomed. I am mainly looking for CTF / DM / DOM maps.

UTR Packs

As you can see, this isn't a lot. I've been out of the loop for a few years in terms of quality releases so I'm sure you can fill me in and recommend some maps.
That said, I have recently dug a out an non-symmetrical CTF map (an outdoor / indoor hybrid) called CTF-Cannae and had a blast playing it.

I'll post more tomorrow, but right now out of my top of the head I remember DM-FeelNaPali, CTF-FacePalm (both by Creavion)

I swear I have lots more on my UT install that I don't remember the names of :P

I'm an huge fan of great outdoor maps ...as you can see at my NorthernLights
DisposableHeroes is one of my favourite maps. But it feels sometimes too small :ironic:

I can only remember MH ones that fit your criteria, but I've got a lot of outside/foresty DM, CTF, and DOM at home.

Yes, most maps should still be there. Those were quite popular maps back in their day and most survived until now.
CTF-Catherine is still a novelty map sort of, and really well executed. Quite small but wonderful execution, I strongly recommend trying it out.

Thought I knew those. Indeed I also found DM-FeelNaPali in my mapfolder. Cute little map indeed.

Had time to only go through DM and DOM maps, here's a list of what I found... note that some may contain only outdoor sections and that some may contain 90° angled terrain :P... all of them have at least minimalistic botpathing, though. Will return with the CTFs soon:

Somehow ...if I play it with MrLoathsome's UT tweak (which enhanced the bots very well) are on two spots old unreal weapons placed instead of the UT versions.

That's a lot of maps allright. Thanks for your time, I'll start digging through them this weekend. Not sure where to get most of those, however (I have contacted UTPe for a possible trojan on his database and Mapraider doesn't have all of those).

That is an impressive list of maps... Here's some thoughts on some of them.

DM-1on1-Lostlands - Remember this one. Had some invisible blocking issues.
DM-Abberant - Never knew this gem. Guess I got it confused with the old DM-Abberance. Really nice map.
DM-IcewindSE - Nice 2-4 player map. Only small outdoor areas.
DM-Konosus][ - More of an atmospheric sniper map it feels. Still well made.
DM-M'arklar - One of the more known maps I think. Interesting layout.
DM-Naliland][ - Not sure about this one. Nice theme and good construction, layout feels a bit simplistic.
DM-RedHeat2 - Been playing this one a lot.
DM-Terrestric - Probably the biggest surprise in the pack. Could be a spiritual ancestor of Kamah.
DOM-Wasteland - The map is huge. Probably a little too huge. Otherwise top production values.
Ost maps - I knew of Walm years back. Still a bit undecided on his mapping skills. He's got it, but his maps always feel so cramped on sometimes too full. Still, the Ostburg][ map is nicely crafted.
UTClassicPacks - Have seen the Name Krull before. Impressive package from all mappers included. Never knew BeWilderBeest was this active. Guess you learn something new every day, huh?
