Sure they can fill a void and make for easy targets/practice when no one else is around.
And a lot of factors do come into play....map size, game type....etc
But how do you feel about them when real people are playing as well?
Are they to much of an easy target and take away from online playing?
Do you feel superior killing more bots then your opponent?
Or are bots just part of the game and we should kill them at will?

Yes, but more importantly, I curious to see if this poll gets removed like the last one did. I've never seen a forum delete a thread that wasn't causing anyone any harm or being creatively destructive. I'm still shocked that the last time this was posted it was removed. Applying magnifying glass to this forum now.

I prefer to have bots on the server as long as there are just 1-3 people on after that the real players should replace them.

Good point...just wish more servers thought that way.
Another problem or issue is that bots are predictable and so are spawn points.
Makes for a boring win if all you do is kill bots. The game shouldn't be who kills the most bots wins.
However it's sad to say that those of us that still play UT99 are losing real people to other and newer games.
Bots beware...

Hmm, seems like you're going in both directions?
Or are you saying that you like to play with bots and real people in the game at the same time?

However the last topic somehow mysteriously disappeared.
Along with a few other posts from other people talking about bots.
Hmm...I suspect a delusional fan member from my past...and I do have many.

I would have real players whenever possible. Bots don't do sneaky things, which makes them boring.

How true they are very predictable.
On my server I have them set at Masterful so they do show some signs of aggression.
The major problem with bots are they are very territorial.

I don't actually like playing against real people. Usually I play LAN with my friends and we'll go up against bots, so I would have to vote for bots. Online I guess would be better if the bots were just to even out the teams.
