Hi i was wondering if anybody knows how 2 fix
The dark spots on edges of walls
Iv seen the same SS but from different players that dont have blackspots like this
My SS
Renderers iv used
D3d8,D3d9,Opengl2.8 and Opengl3.4

Its most likely map itself because the mapper might has not used denamic lighting correctly

They might not use dynamic lightning. theres an option in preferences to disable it

RightMouseButton on Surface -> Surface Properties
Be sure your on the Tab called "Flags"
As you can see you see that you can tick some boxes. The one that can involve lights and shadows are
- High Shadow Detail
- Low Shadow Detail
- Dirty Shadows
- Bright Corners
I think to solve your problem you need to Tick the boxes, Bright Corners or/and High shadow detail
I hope i helped you enough with it!

Be sure your on the Tab called "Flags"

- Dirty Shadows
- Bright Corners
I think to solve your problem you need to Tick the boxes, Bright Corners or/and High shadow detail

Umm iv never seen these settingss befor lol
Are these UT99 settings or video card options?
I got a Evga GeForce 8800gt
And i dont see these settings anywhere

then listen to lauren!
cause those dark spots are created by some mapper that doesnt controled his lightning skills to well
in Ued

Found the problem
Dload and installed a different video driver and the black spots are gone

Just check "bright corners" in surface properties, that does a good job of making the whole surface nice looking and fit along with the texgtures around it.

Yes the 177.79(I think or 49) gf drivers took care of about 80% of the dark spots
The rest of the dark spots looks like they should be there
Im guessing the Bright Spot option is in UnrealEd?
Im not a mapper and thats just a map i play

What is the "Dirty shadows" flag for? I can't see the difference.
