Anyone had any problems with UT Skin maker. It refuses to load at all.
I installed it fine, even installed it DIRECTLY to the D drive. So theres no directory problems.
Running Vista so I tried Run > Compatability XP, and added the Run As Admin check.

Re: making a skin
This is basically what I'm doing as well, I just - for some reason - can't figure out how to get to the damn textures.Marco wrote:Here, adding new skins is what I've always wanted to do.
I have all tools needed, but there's only one thing blocking me: the face.
What I wanna do is making skins of some friends of mine... not altering the whole skin, I just wanna change the head.
I have decent closeups of my friend to put into textures, but, u see, in original textures faces are in a "fat" version so when applied to models they fit fine.
Can anyone hint me some way to "fatten up" my friends pics without distorting eyes, mouth, etc.?
I use PhotoShop but didn't get decent results.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

TO CREATE A SKIN FROM A CUSTOM MESH:Dare wrote:Yeah i know about that but where do i find the meshes?[FsA]Lordinario wrote:
1) Take a standard mesh (grid) like Commando, Soldier, Female Soldier, etc.... and change the pcx (picture files) so called textures, to make them look what you like. This is the option Skinmaker gives you, and the most popular.
1) Open Skinmaker
2) Click FIle
3) Choose Model Compiler
4) Uncheck Use INT Files
5) click the dots of Package file
6) Open the .U file with the skins
7) Skinmaker will create the neccessary Wireframe Bitmaps in the install directory

Re: making a skin
You need to choose compile skin and install in UT instead of save. THis will make the neccessary .INT and .utx and put them in the correct directory.papercoffee wrote:It doesn't WORK ...help please!

Re: making a skin
this is what I did already.... but this program compiled the skin to C:/unrealtournament ...there is no UT.
I have it on another hard drive.
can I change the directory in skinmaker?
EDIT-----------------------------
I put the saved .int and .utx in the right folder but nothing happen.
