Re: making a skin

Post by Marco »

Here, adding new skins is what I've always wanted to do.
I have all tools needed, but there's only one thing blocking me: the face.
What I wanna do is making skins of some friends of mine... not altering the whole skin, I just wanna change the head.
I have decent closeups of my friend to put into textures, but, u see, in original textures faces are in a "fat" version so when applied to models they fit fine.
Can anyone hint me some way to "fatten up" my friends pics without distorting eyes, mouth, etc.?
I use PhotoShop but didn't get decent results.
Any help appreciated. :)
Thanks in advance.

Do it like this:

Take little pieces of the face and fit them in 1 by 1. It takes some time but gives loads better results.

Your better off taking larger pictures and then scaling them down to fit.........

It'd be good if someone could make a mesh-maker, so you'd have easy animation of the mesh, design tips and texturing in one program... But that's not gonna happen, is it?
