Dispersion pistol

i tried making a rough model of the provided pictures, not sure how many polygons it should be and what detail should be texture or geometry.
as you can see the model is 2 models mirrored which i can merge if its finished.
colored only for visibility/display in the video.

i can smooth and or bevel the model if im sure how it has to look as rough model first. handle is to sharp now i guess.

Dont matter i can take criticism very well.

I think im going to try to look into the 3d printing hobby i think.

No it looks already promising.
How many transformation phases has the original actually?
Those grey "Wings" are closed at the start (lowest fire-power)
Then you get the first upgrade and those grey things open up.

I would say the grip is a little bit too thick. can you give me a plane side view? Maybe I can try to make a TSF sheet out of it.

I think those details can be made with textures.

As you can see most of the details on the Canopener are texture.

Yes i understand i opened them in the model to show the pistol geometry, and im not sure how to make those attachments from the wing to the pistol (realisticly), handle is to thick and without curve i agree.

Dispersion pistol, things to remember:
· It's not very powerful.
· Its projectiles have unlimited range.
· Unlike other weapons you don't need more ammo as it constantly regenerates its own ammo.
· At least in Unreal, there were items you could pick up to make it more powerful.

Watched a video yesterday and it looks like it morphs more then 4 times but im not sure what those last 2 are doing , or maybe they are just an pickup poin in case you missed previous point in the game.

Well, the video doesn't show it shooting so that lends itself to some confusion.

Each morph is a more powerful level of blast from it.

Starts blue, goes to green, then yellow, then red... and so on.

Blue is fairly weak but the red is close to an instagib.

I said close to, not the same as.

I know the insta is 1,000 but I also know that most players when they get hit by the red dispersion blast not only die but usually are gibbed as well.

Now, that could be due to players don't always have full health in-game as they've been wounded by any number of things prior.

Just wanted to say, I'm working on it. Simplifying the design a little bit. Most details are better made with textures.
And we would afterwards need a coder to implement the weapon in the game.

just in case this is a download of the current model. you never know if i somehow dissappear, that can happen in modding community's and busy life.
