Okay, as we all know SkinCity lost it's downloads a stretch back and for a bit it hosted those on a couple other sites until those went away too.

Eventually the site with the display pics for those skins/models also went down.

Well... it's back!

Have a look · https://skincity.beyondunreal.com/

Downloads still don't work but at least now we can see the models/skins again.

I kinda doubt it. It's like NaliCity.

This · https://nalicity.beyondunreal.com/ · used to be the biggest UT mapping site, then it went away. It came back middle of last year but it hasn't done anything... it's just there.

Still, the visuals of SkinCity's database being back are handy for those of us who skin and now have our own copies of their entire database. I can browse through it when it's slow at work and kick ideas around for projects, until I get home to do them.

A lot of the skins in this are in .umod format and I can't seem to open them like I used to.

Anybody know a handy umod extractor I can get my hands on?

I use UmodTool (here http://www.ut-files.com/index.php?dir=U ... ool%202.0/) but there are others - have a look in the Utilities directory on ut-files if you don't like UmodTool.

If you are not sure that you want to install the contents of a umod, you can use UT Package Tool v2.0 to view the content in detail (you can look at scripts, properties, textures and much else) - I would recommend having UTPT anyway as it is extremely useful and, for example, saves using UEd to look at the contents and properties of .u files, play sounds or music or view individual textures.

Haven't tried it yet, but sounds good. I just really want access to the skins but a lot of the older ones are largely in .umod format.

Not sure if my having 2 installs of UT on my system is causing the confusion to the way it's supposed to be working or not.

On a slightly different note, the total download appears to be (browsed it last night) everything. It's not separated into categories by model to which skin, or even which version of UT.

Before I .zip it up for downloads from my mediafire, I'm debating putting it in order. Different directories for which version of UT each model/skin is from, then each skin for which model.

This may take awhile.

Also debating if maybe removing a few might not be so very wrong:

I mean... seriously! Who really wants a skin like that?!?
Wouldn't actually exclude anything... but I'd think about it a lot.

Yep...there's a lot of chaff in the UT wheat. The skin above is the result of making it easy to edit skins; I'm seeing the same thing with the new Doom and Snapmap....lots of crap.

Quick question: In the SkinZips directory there's a uhs2.exe file.

What is that? I'm afraid to start it without knowing.

It's a self-installing package but I wouldn't run it either. Just unzip it with an archive program.

Bump here.
If you know that 7z archive called "ALLUTSkins.7z" I have uploaded it into my GDrive inside some folder linked shortly Here.
Archive has been checked for errors. Content was not initially shared by me in original, so if skins from there are stupid craps, say thanks and greetings to their creators. I see people very addicted to colors so I let them to get what they want. Name of archive is unchanged, and pretty far from reality, skins are created daily so this is NOT an archive with ALL Skins.

Note: I've sent file there because I will remove it from my HDD because I simply don't have any reason to block space for such stuff which is not my first target, so I used my current upload speed for pumping file to outside.

Have fun around!

Bump note:
This file will be removed. Hosting period has been ended, I won't allow others to upload anything on my drive - ignoring their requests, host your files in Your Own SPACE. I need this space for hosting other things which I need, not things which I never open.

Good to know... because initial package was a torrent - torrents generally have a short Life-Time so I helped here until it's added on a normal host. Others wanted to add more, outside of initial archive - clearly I won't host X TerraBytes.
