I had trouble getting the original 3DS models loaded into the latest (Windows) version of Photoshop CC (v21.2.5), Photoshop would simply crash 9/10 times trying to import them.
So I exported them all into Collada (.dae) format as well as PSD format. Now they open every time for me without a hitch. I'm uploading it here hoping it helps anyone else in the same boat I was in.
This also allows you to easily import them into Blender without needing any additional addons.

The PSDs have been saved for maximum compatibility. The archive is 2.16 MB and requires 7z to extract, disk space upon extraction is 66.5 MB.

Each model is provided in the following formats: 3DS, DAE, and PSD

Models Included:
Boss
Commando
FCommando
NewXan
Soldier
SGirl
TCowMesh
tnalimesh
TSkM
WarMachineBoss

Hope this helps someone!
