Re: malware ?
I just accessed smackjeeves and it seems all ok now from my end.
You can try to put your link again.
I remember that some months ago the epicgames forums had the exact same problem.

Seriousy Medor ? Symantec ?

I don't include any chrome support on my blog, as anyone that uses it deserves it.
I use Opera for security and Firefox for functionality.
But setting both browsers to load plugins on-demand, gives almost the same protection as noscript without using a plugin.
BTW. it is worth reminding Firefox users to check the "about" menu item regularly, as it then checks for an update.

What does this tell me? ...is it faster than the default automatic notification?Dr.Flay wrote: BTW. it is worth reminding Firefox users to check the "about" menu item regularly, as it then checks for an update.
Oh and for Fire Fox disable prefetch in "about:config" ...just in case.
Re: malware ?
Automatic notification happens at some sort-of random point, but the about menu checks for updates immediately.papercoffee wrote:What does this tell me? ...is it faster than the default automatic notification?Dr.Flay wrote: BTW. it is worth reminding Firefox users to check the "about" menu item regularly, as it then checks for an update.

Re: malware ?
^^ Yeah, what Wormbo said.
For some reason Firefox update tends to wait until you look at the about panel, or force it.
Dumb idea.
To see if the new v27 update has set your SSL correctly, visit https://www.howsmyssl.com
It should be all green.
Firefox and Opera are the only 2 all green browsers. Opera users need to enable the newer "TLS" versions manually in the security prefs.
FF users need to use the URL "about:config" if they wish to change TLS/SSL settings.
Just checked FF.
It looks like the default is to check for an update every 63 days !
Just go to "about:config" and type "update"
Changing mine to 7 right now !
