Naaah.. yeah I know better skeletal mesh support would be nice. I wrote some functions back in the past.. but they were not that operational than I thought..

Well so here's the last Preview Update before the release... finally.
On the two pictures you see the first official snapshots of my Particle Engine "Unreal Enigma" which was the last new feature to be added in the September Update. It still needs a lot of improvements but the basic system works FINALLY. Except for the Emitter Actor NO other Actors or Objects are used to render the particles, so neither Objects nor Actors are spawned, created or updated. That was one of my main goals to archive.

Cool video! Allthough the change could have been pointed out more clearly.

I simply think the SDK is still not that well known, because I don't have the time and capabilities to run some PR stuff like big mods, games or total conversions do - I can simply hope for word-of-mouth recommendation and the possibilities I have at ModDB.com

September Beta Release

Finally, it's about time. I worked from March to October for this release, implementing a whole new Particle Engine was quite difficult. Nevertheless here's the new UTSDK Beta!!

New Features
  • Vertex Sprite Rendering
  • Vertex Corona Rendering
  • Static Mesh Support !
  • Unreal Enigma Particle Engine !
  • Decoration Layer !
  • Vector2D Support (Internal)
Fixes/Updates
  • false native function identifiers in the IMPLEMENT_FUNCTION(OBJECT, ID, execNAME) macro of sdkObject.uc have been corrected
  • completed work on all LinkedLists of new LevelInfo, LinkedLists now fully work both in-Editor and ingame
  • in-Editor UNDO/REDO bug for all render actors removed
  • in-Editor UNDO/REDO Support for all render actors
  • improved Render Pass
  • all functions in UnSDKMath.h (sdkCore.dll) are inlines now (speed increase)

Hehe, you/we will have that for food fight probably sooner as you think, if we use it for our mod. Only problem: the constant and frequent updates probably lead to version mismatches :mad2:

Can't believe my eyes currently:

Rank - 43 of 15,349
Visits - 65,156 (155 today)

The best ranking (ModDB.com) I ever had with the SDK 8)

So there's finally a public release out. Wow, what are the odds of me visiting this site over months just two days after it got released, huh...

You're already able to use it. The only issue is: it's not all completed and fully functional yet. Using now this version in a map may cause version mismatches and missing features not yet implement before you update to a newer version (like the coming october beta). It's the same disadvantage as with the UDK: either stay with one version or learn with the current version and "wait" for the most recent and best worked out version.

So of I make a bunnytrack map with this and players get the newer version of the sdk when it comes out then the map is not playable for them?

Yes, probably. This depends on which Actors and Features you use and how (much) they change from version to version.

That completely depends on the server and the admin who has a list of packages to allow and which not. Which old version did you use? Currently I would recommend against using the SDK online, it's untest for LAN and Netplay yet.
