Nali horse?

Leo (same guy that released the Gargoyle that was supposed to be part of Unreal1) now has a horse also supposed to have been in U1.

At work, can't try this myself yet · http://www.oldunreal.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/ ... 1479377244

Technically speaking, it's a Pegasus and not a horse exactly.

Like a unicorn isn't a horse exactly.

I feel I should apologize.

Often I link stuff here I find while I'm at work, where I don't have the opportunity to vet whatever it is I've found. Just slap it in the new downloads section and hope whatever it is I found is at least decent or possibly even amazing.

Came back this way last night for a monster swap on a map I'm almost done with, figure it was a good time to test this flying horse... except when I opened it up turns out it's just the framework for the thing. It's not completed, it's listed as a download that hopefully someone will take the initiative and finish for the guy who's at the link.

Sorry about that.

Someone made a horse for Thievery. If you copy the few needed Thievery files it does work. I can't remember if you can ride it though.

Been told by a reliable source that Pack2's Mfly is the same flying horse.

Have a look · http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/foru ... w=previous

A joke perhaps? No, the Mfly is a horse fly not a flying horse.

Unless the reliable source was the author (.:..:), or host (Hyper), they may not be so reliable.
Either Author or host would also have pointed out that the packs are for Unreal, not UT.
The packs are sourced from http://www.hypercoop.tk/indexd.htm in the "Mods and game types" section.

Not a joke, but language barrier ...I think I know who the reliable source is, looking at the link URL.

I thought that might be the case but was reluctant to suggest it.

To clear up confusions:
Image

These are just base forms for a series of monsters that were supposed to be released with Unreal1 but were cut for various reasons. Typically referred to as Unreal Alpha characters these days.

The "Nali Horse" is the one in the pic on the far left... with the wings.

Leo T_C_K has been restoring these for use in Unreal & UT for a few years now, so when I saw him posting about the horse I assumed it had been completed.

Of the others in that pic there, I've got the minotaur & the gargoyle from Leo's previous releases.

Well, Unreal was supposed to be more fantasy than Si-Fi. Later those fantasy themed monsters didn't fit any more.
It seems natural that Unreal development started fantasy like when you think about from which other company the Epic team originated.
