Another thing, the search is weird.

Hobi-Wan has made a lot of maps, but if you enter his full tag into search, nothing comes up. But if you just search for Hobi, then it works.

Possibly because the minus sign basically means ‘don’t search for this' - so searching for ‘hobi-wan' means 'search for instances of hobi that don’t include wan'. To look for Hobi-Wan, enter 'Hobi Wan' (without the commas and no minus sign).

Also, this kinda bugs too.

Some searches bring up high numbers of pages to scroll through, but the URL up top never changes.

It would help somewhat if the URL updated for whatever page of a search it's on, so if it's as many as this... I could manually skim to the end by adding the page number at the end of the URL.

This kinda inconsistency is confusing!

So, who made this map? Hobi-Wan or Lady Sophie??

Two completely different maps:
CTF-Crater, Lady Sophie:

The screenshot in UnrealArchive.org is wrong; CTF-Crater, Lady Sophie's screenshot is:

Hey guys,

So I've been working on putting this together for the past few months,.........
Very nice and for me, just like to say your efforts are appreciated. A lot of work to put this all together.
I searched myself and found stuff I had forgotten about. Not even sure I finished a couple of those maps on there.
I should download and see if I can get you screenshots for the missing ones and maybe a released version for the others.

I can't even find a couple of them in my maps folder so maybe I renamed them or something before release. Not sure. Probably just some betas that were out there.

If you are wanting a more complete picture of my work that I can fill in I will gladly help in any way I can.
If you have enough going on right now, no problem, it's not that big of a deal to me either way.

Just wanted to thank you for this awesome compiling of UT stuff. Very cool.

Just saying:
https://unrealarchive.org/skins/unreal- ... 09b56.html

Bottom one:
https://unreal-games.livejournal.com/117529.html

The skin uses the same talk texture for all of them, but it has multiple different heads/faces.

Not sure what point you're making there - on the face of it, it looks like Shrimp's software scans for screenshots and other images in the zip and also scans the .utx file for the talk textures, hence them all being the same in the case of the Stormtroopers. It appears to do that for all skins, showing screenshots, other images and talk textures where these are present.

In essence what's shown for the Stormtroopers isn't any different to what's shown for other skins.

Sure, but it lists the different faces as skins on the download page, which is kinda weird, and on the search page...

...there - https://unrealarchive.org/search/index. ... rmtroopers

It says the skin has "no faces" when it's got 10.

Even if it mistook the talk textures as a face, it should at least say "1".

Looking at other results of various skins, it seems to list "faces" as "skins" for each skin. Kinda weird.

Yes that's odd. Hopefully Shrimp will come in on this.

It looks to me as though the faces are 'read' from the talk textures in the .utx (and so it won't say one face for yours as it presumably looks for unique talk textures and for yours there isn't a unique talk texture) and the number of skins read from the .init by scanning for unique names - so the software has read the names of the faces (for example, Object=(Name=SoldierSkins_storm.STOR4st1,Class=Texture,Description="Frank")) as the name of a skin.

This may be because it will be difficult (perhaps impossible) for the software to identify what is the 'face' from the .init given that .ints are not always set up in the same order or in the same way (the FCommando_BlackSuit's faces are like this "Name=FCommando_BlackSuit.mars4nikita,Class=Texture,Description="Nikita"", so some people use names and other people use numbers) and different models have their faces in different positions/numbers in the .int (some, like the Abbey model, have a whole skin incorporating the face).

Hey guys, thanks for all the reports. I'll dig into the issues with screenshots being applied to multiple maps - that's definitely a bug.

With regards to the faces, thanks for this too - I will also need to dig into the relevant .int files to see what they do differently. I'm basically trying to vaguely reverse engineer what the game's looking at, and as mentioned, there seem to be a bunch of methods of defining these things, so I don't always get it right. More reports like this definitely help a lot though!

Unfortunately at the moment I'm not in a position to take a look at any of the code due to reasons, but will try to get to them shortly.

Yo, how can I download all those files? I don't wan't to download it manually, because it would be a lot time. Any suggestion?

Have a look at the Active Mirroring Guide (under Guides & Articles -> General) on the site?
