I've got wood ! (textures)

Post by Dr.Flay » Wed Feb 29, 2012 7:35 pm

I have found my collection of high resolution wood textures.
They are the example pictures of wood and laminates available to buy.

They are still in the original format. I have not yet made a texture pack with them, and I may not get round to it for a while, so I thought I'd share them.

I collected them in 2006. I found them looking for companies that sold wood, or wood veneer.
Sites that sell images of textures have small images on the site, but companies selling a solid wood product have nice large images onsite.
The actual product is wood, so the pictures are a by-product of their marketing :tu:

I realised rather than look on google for "wood textures", that looking for sellers of the real thing gave better results.
This works with machine parts and everything you can think of.

Geek note: Copernic Agent software is by far the best way to search the net.
