Re: Unreal2 monsters into ut2004
I think it was quite easy for the modder because U2 and UT2004 both use same Engines (Unreal 3.0).
And maybe all he needs to just export from U2 and import to UT2004.

Re: Unreal2 monsters into ut2004
UT2004 and Unreal 2 have completely different AI systems. All I really did was use VendorX's script to get the models in UT2004 and then use invasion monster code as a base, so it wasn't very hard. Porting Unreal 2's AI would be really tough, though.
To answer your question on USP, I won't be converting the creatures to Unreal/UT99, but others can if they want.

Re: Unreal2 monsters into ut2004
Isn't content from previous Unreal series games definitely okay to port, as long as it's ported to a later game in the series? Unreal 2 still belongs to Epic. EvilEngine's Unreal 2 soldiers/skaarj were posted on Epic's forums long before this; the threads were really popular and Epic moderators never took them down. For the UT3 MSUC, one of the character packs featured an Unreal 2 heavy skaarj. If there is a problem, Epic's lawyers don't seem to care.
