I wanted to re-grab Deathox's Random Bots mutator from his site, when I noticed that he released a new level without us knowing :tongue:
Haven't tried it yet, but the pics looked awesome and I downloaded it. Sorry for finding it a little too late lol.

Wow, this is such a beauty. I'm not into DM really, but this looks awesome!

I just played all his maps recently (well, the ut ones) and now i have one more, lol!
he's definitely one of my fav mappers :D
too bad he didn't join in the 512k contest, that would have been awesome :)
oh well, maybe he'll stop by in the next one...

You can never be too careful with maps made at April Fools day. :tongue:

also I was trying to joke a little, but now I do remember even DavidM did a stunt where he promised his map being OMG BEST MAP EVAZZZZZ!!!! When really it was April Fools :)

So yeah, it was a joke there :D

EDIT: Anyway now that I DID play it this really isn't the same case. Looks like a false alarm then :P oops.

The visuals were really great, but the sounds for me were a bit too loud and I think low gravity had to be implemented here (I also got pwned by Masterful bots where I only scored 6 when they had 20-30 frags lol). I still loved it though :rock:

agree sounds=too loud ... the theme/look of the map seems familiar to me, might be the textures/lighting, dunno. Deathox did say this was an experimental map, but I think the theme would be nice in a full-fledged DM layout. Unfortunately, not really much in the way of gameplay in this one - maybe low-grav would help with some woot pads around :)

On another note for mappers (if u don't know this already), this is a good example of how to do "cheap rain" in ut99. He's using non-solid transparent unlit sheets... this is good for snowfall as well :) much more engine friendly than any ue1 particle system.
