I´m pretty much a noob and just do it for fun. I like simple DeathMatch games and sniper/camper games too.

There are certainly many fun mods that have been released over the past 10 years, and also many updates for the game itself.
Check the link in the top of the site "Tweak Your UT Graphics To The Maximum!" and you will be able to enjoy modern Hires textures and run at full speed.
Food Fight is about the most fun you can have in UT, and will have you laughing out loud.
Nali Weapons 3 is the most jaw-dropping mod ever made for UT99, and people often think it is for a newer UT.
Use the search often, as you will find many answers and downloads here

Almost every aspect of Nali Weapons is configurable, and rendered client-side.
It has different modes aimed at use in regular games or MonsterHunt which needs the more powerful weapons.
You can limit the use of the Nukes to suit the size of maps in play.
Just like in real-life, the biggest Nuke will kill everything and and the game.

...and you should try the BurgerCTF it works with many default CTF maps. Plus the bonus maps we implemented into the download.
