Help - all servers missing from master browser!

Post by Pileyrei »

None of our servers are showing up in the master browser.

Here is my ini setting on one server:

MasterServerAddress=199.255.40.174
MasterServerPort=27900

This is from another server:

MasterServerAddress=unreal.epicgames.com
MasterServerPort=27900

I had to move the master port down a line as it was displayed as:
MasterServerAddress=unreal.epicgames.com MasterServerPort=27900

Would that cause a problem if displayed all on one line?

What should it be?
Can you add you additional master servers?
My main priority is to get them showing back in the main UT master browser.

:help:

Here http://wiki.333networks.com/index.php/C ... Tournament
It's now... utmaster.epicgames.com
And here are the three alternative operational Master Server:
master.noccer.de
master.errorist.tk
master.oldunreal.com

Didn't you change this already?

Thanks papercoffee.

We've had big problems with our servers and it seems this was never changed over.

Testing now and will confirm back :tu:

That will cause a problem if it is NOT all on one line.
Use Notepad. Turn Word Wrap off.

Hmmm.......

For a while now I have been using:

utmaster.epicgames.com
gsm.qtracker.com
master.333networks.com

They all seem to resolve fine on the server.

How many master servers do we have now?

How many can you add to your ini file?

*Edit....

I believe both unreal.epicgames.com and utmaster.epicgames.com resolve to the same IP atm.
Would advise against hardcoding the master servers IP address in your ini files.
While you do get an imperceptible gain in speed by bypassing the DNS lookup when map change happens you
also run the risk of losing contact with the master server in the event that their IP changes.

Just to confirm the servers are indeed showing up now.

We have other problems with changes not replicating back from our config tool to the servers but that's a provider issue.

Thanks Mr L for your post too.

Thanks again
