Hey Guys wanted to post a quick mention about the server I operate with a couple friends from out retro FPS community.



Currently we are running the RocketCTFBoost mod so there is no self damage which is making for some fun, fast paced CTF games w/ lots of rocket jumping . Once we gather some more UT99 players into our little community we will certainly be holding weekly organized games.

Update: Server now running Instagib instead of CTFBoost.

Sorry I currently do not have any demo videos of the CTFBoost server in action. The server is currently running instagib CTF. I plan to switch it back at some point but instagib has been alot of fun lately.

Let me know what you think and if you have any recommendations, I was trying to keep with the theme of small ctf maps.

There are times when playing a few rounds of insta on a small map joust setup is sooo satisfying. What anticheat do you use (asking for a friend )?

I don't currently have one installed. Is there one that you would recommend?

Yeah, go over to Unreal Admins and get ACE. It's a bit involved to install but if you don't put something on there it's going to immediately have a problem with cheating players once it gains any sort of traction and player base. If you need help drop me a line and I'll advise you on how to use ACE. There are other good anticheats but ACE is the best current one.

Yeah i was certainly planning on putting something on there, just wasn't sure what. I will give ACE a try, thanks man!

You definitely need ACE!

Try the latest ACE 10 if you can - I had problems getting it working but got there eventually.
Otherwise ACE v08H should do the trick nicely.

I appreciate the help guys! I will give this a try this week and will let you know how it goes. Also if anyone has any small maps that would be fun for insta in mind let me know I am on the hunt for a few more that I like to commonly run on the server.

Have not installed ACE yet based on the fact that it is usually just me and some buddies playing instagib on our server, I agree that once more players start rolling in I will certainly get it installed.
