Block gametracker? LOL Only someone add a server IP to the gametracker and then it start tracking. But seriously who would want to block gametracker, make no sense lmao.

Question: Can you see any servers at all, or just for 1 specific gametype can you see nothing?

This vaguely reminds me of why Nelsona built a new version of Monsterhunt, because the old search for MH servers no longer works.

If that doesn't work, try changing [1]. If it doesn't work after that I'd say either you have duplicate sections in your ini or you are editing the wrong file

You might want to upgrade your TacOps which is now Version 3.5.

Before you apply the 3.5 patch you MUST install Patch 3.4 first or you can reinstall your game again. You find the needed files here: http://ut.noccer.de/GameTypes/TO/

After that you could need to install TOST, the TacOps Anticheat.

noccer and billybill - Many, many, many thanks. I have added along the lines TO version 2.20, because this one is I am after - I am, ProjectNostalgia is about old mods, not retail versions of old games :)

Actually i thank you, since you reminded me to post TacOps to the wiki. However, you are welcome.

Can you actually play online with 2.2?

I don`t play it anymore. Nowadays it is a little mess, version conflicts, ESE registration .... blablubb -.-

year ago I lunched TO2.2 server and we had people playing it - aswell with friends of mine, there were evenings with 10 players online. Since my server was broken, I had to redone everything from scratch, just to find out that master servers aren;t working. I am still doing maps for TO 2.2 I will get back to work asap, when I will lunch servers again (should be at monday I suppose).

In order to find which Master Servers are available On-Line you can pig them directly. Eg: <ping unreal.epicgames.com> at CMD.

The problem is and you should understand that GAMESPY is dead, dead and buried. If you have such string in any of your ini just wipe it out - including from any sort of Default.ini.

Unfortunately that does not do more then showing that unreal.epicgames.com answers the ping request. It will not show that any masterserver is online. You can also deny ping requests, which means, the host will not answer to ping requests, but it can be active and run masterserver or any other software.

But you can also open http://utmaster.epicgames.com:28900/ in your webbrowser, if you see something like \basic\\secure\wookie you can say, there IS a working masterserver.

Are you saying TO has some sort of bug where the master servers don't work and require the pasted lines he gave you? Let's get this sorted before people get the wrong idea

When i tested TacOps 3.5 with the default TacticalOps.ini and it used only gamespy master, which is DEAD. I made the changes from to-live.eu, and it worked. Without them, you would just see all UT servers in a list, but not have a TacOps only list, or don´t get any list because it asks only gamespy for the list.

Why you should set bKeepMasterServer=True is (my opinion):

You can enter the masterservers YOU want, utmaster.epicgames.com, 333networks, qtracker, errorist, noccer, oldunreal etc. and they will stay in your .ini
That means that YOU have the control which masters you want to use.

If you set this to false, Epic makes an "update". It sets utmaster.epicgames.com and the DEAD gamespy Masterserver to your ini but deletes all the third party masters you entered. Since the change from unreal.epicgames.com to utmaster.epicgames.com is not neccessary, and deletes private masterservers, i think the update by them is not needed.

Well, if you have only epicgames masterserver in your ini, and epicgames master crashes again, or gets buggy and you don´t get any list, you will get the list from the other masterservers.

Sure, there is no need for it, but it is some convenience you could like :)

Billybill, all tips you have posted I have applied to UT99, since TO 2.2 is mod for this base version and on 2 computers (two different systems, IPs) I used settings from yout tip, along with noccer's tip for TO and it worked well. I didn't payed attention if I see 4.36 games or only higher... hm...
