I think the animation of the weapons will be another tough task.
Are you taking this job or should I search some one for this?

We need lots of animation ...especially for the reload of the weapons.

The Ha&Ka reloads after every shot till the plum-can is empty... then switch to a new plum-can.
The Toastanator reloads after every fourth shot...
For the Salad-thrower we need salad packs....

Darn!!! We need hands for the reload-animations. :omfg:

Maybe handy to write down wich animations each weapon needs, cause there should be a lot to do then only "WeaponUp/Down/Shoot" and stuff. Try to give me a detailed thingy, else maybe try to find someone who can animate :)

You can always extract the "hand" model from UT, like the sniper hand, enforcer hand or others like that for that effect. Then you just have to add joints/skelet to it and move it and modify it at your will (with the movements).
At least that's what I did to add hands to my next weapons, then I just animated it accordingly (although I am going to take that hand thing a bit more far though, regarding realism and gameplay lol).

Or, since you use MilkShape as well, I can get you the hand I already worked at, but I don't guarantee that all the joints are just like you want them (one or another vertex might not be assigned well), but it's basically already done and could save you a damn lot of work though, and that way you would only focus in the rest of the animations of the weapon.

Your call there. :)

The other way would be too complex.
BTW. You didn't say if you can use this storyboard of the animation.
The first shows the firing of the weapon... the other panels show the reload animation.

the reload shouldn't be too real.

Man, this is why I always remember UT99 :lol2:. This is such a hilarious concept. It all fits together and "makes sense" but of course it doesn't at all, lol :gj:.

Could there be different decals for the ammo ? Splats or squashed beans and so forth ?
