Well, on our PirateDeemerCMM012 weapon mod, we use an ini file to adjust the weapon mod to just about any configuration we wish to have.
(it has over 70 adjustments that can be made)
And...
A member here named "Rakiayn" was working on a Windowed Weapon interface called "UnrealSpawn" that was really cool.

I believe it is a concept shot of an idea for a mod.
The clues would be;
(UTNerd24) "If only making weapons was that easy..."
and the reply;
(Hook) "What you show is Not so unrealistic as you may think."
Meaning, that something similar exists, but actually not that.
...That's ok you can stop kicking yourself, the more people get excited about a concept, the more likely someone will actually make it

well as said before, I am making something simular
in my mod you can alter the weapons
like:
-projectile type
-altfire projectile type
-fire speed
-altfire speed
-accuracy
-altfire accuracy
-amount of projectile ( like the normal fire of the flakcannon)
-skin
-other properties (depending on the weapon)
besides that you can alter the projectile properties
-speed
-damage
-damage radius (if it explodes)
-falling or not
-drawscale
-skin
-momentum transfer
-time it exist
-many other properties....
check out the ''unreal spawn'' post
in my mod you can alter the weapons

Mmmm, like the sound of it.
Will it be able to spawn creatures/objects where bullet impacts hit a surface or model ?
I have been thinking about a "Cloverdale" (the film) style mod, where bugs and spiders etc, are spawned where you shoot the body of a Megatitan.
This will need to be triggered/timed or damage/health based, so that it changes or stops spawning bugs after a while.
Will it be able to spawn creatures/objects where bullet impacts hit a surface or model ?

yes you can spawn monster and also alter them (skins,projectile,health,meleedamage, movementspeed etc.....)

Hmmm, very interesting.
I just refined part of my idea into an idea for a single weapon, that would make a good alternative to the Bio-gun.
An egg layer gun.
Maybe a bit like Ferali's Nali Weapons mine layer, or the Chaos proxy-mines.
Timed and proximity activated eggs, that you can fire or stick on walls and ceilings, would cause wonderful havoc in any map.
Does, or will your mod have the ability to export the weapon as a stand-alone package?

unfortunately no, you wont be able to export the weapon to a different package, als you wont be able to use content of other package, only content that i have added
