Dear UT99,
Yet another quick question. Since I've reinstalled UT, I've had a nagging issue.
Seeing as my native resolution is now 1920x1080 as oppose to 1024x768 like it was back in 2005 or whatever, the "Dot" crosshair is now somewhat larger...and partially blurred. I'm making the assumption that this is due to my resolution since I've tested this, setting it back to 1024x768. Obviously, it looks FUGLY to me...so I was wondering if it's possible to restore this crosshair to it's size that I remember it to be? Small and precise!

Thanks again,

Re: Crosshair "Dot"
No afaik. UT1 is over a decade old, they didn't think much in higher resolutions other than 1024x768 back then, so higher resolutions are bound to have some sort of graphical limitation (although UT1 is still better handling different resolutions than UT2k3/UT2k4, go figure....).
All you can do is to make your own crosshair and add it to UT.

Re: Crosshair "Dot"
Workaround would be using custom crosshairs, but unfortunately there's no solution for stock crosshairs. A while ago some people tried to fix that issue, but I'm not sure if anything was ever released at all. What is interesting that Unreal does draw crosshairs correctly.

Oh btw, just thought I'd hijack this since I was wondering, can the same be done with the Sniper Crosshair when you use the zoom as it's slightly blurred also.

If you play on any server with ace you can do this command, type in console mutate ace crosshairscale -1.0 default and positive numbers to make it smaller or larger.
I use 1.3 when i use the dot crosshair, to make it bigger @ 800x640 .
0.1 very small
2.0 ugly and large
