Making Infiltration 2.65 from unreal 1 work in UT99

Hi my freind oZ who is the admin of the RedRum unreal 1 servers wants to make a UT99 server similar to his current unreal 1 server. He wonders is it possible to make Infiltration 2.65z mod from Unreal 1 work in UT99? Inf 2.65z is this file (last file on this page)

If you add some 2.65z guns to a ut99 map it says (cant find boolproperty in file boolpropertyengine.weapon.bTossedout)

I know that 2.75z weapons mutator for ut99 works and is almost same, but - the problem is that it doesnt default auto reload for players that connect to server ( they must dl and install mod themselves), also the gun sounds are worse in 275 vs 265 and also a worse recoil pattern. And players cant set a manual reload key in ut99 with a console command, they must dl the mod (mutator) and use the mods menu to set the reload and weapon mode key.

I know oldskool makes some unreal 1 stuff work for ut99, but wont help with the inf 2.65z problem, does anyone know a solution to make it compatible??

Im not talking about Inf 2.9. The old one for unreal 1 is completely different. Its like 6mb file that has a few realistic guns, its not a total conversion like inf 2.9 for ut99.

Ah ...ok, it's more a weapon pack, or does it also have the iron-sight feature from Inf 2.9 ?

hi papercoffee a while back i made a video of the Inf 2.75 gun pack mod its in my Xmas ut99 video here

they dont have ironsights, but 2.65 is very similar to video, except for recoil / gun sounds. And the ut99 275 version also makes it harder for players to set a reload key. For example in unreal 1 redrum server with inf 2.65, when a new player connects they dont need to install the mod to set a reload key. Admin can just say "hey player1 just type 'set input r bxtra1". And then the new player types it in console and they can reload, very simple. Then the player will have a reload key.

Unfortunately in the ut99 version, unless the player has the mod installed they cant set reload key because they dont have Infiltration menu and the reload command was sadly removed.

thats the one thats pretty similar to unreal 1's infiltration 2.65 mod, there is also 2.9 but thats totally different.

well, I hope someone can help would be interesting to have this weapon pack available and working for UT.

If a tweak or straight port can be done, then this server mod could be useful.

Cool im familar with counterstrike on unreal, i was the 1st server to run Gizzys 225 mod for it, hes making a 227 version currently and possibly a UT99 version one day as well.

im thankful he took the time to do it for 225 cuz he made my server very popular then and now.'

His 227 pack is why I am spending a lot of time using Unreal to play UT.
Well that and it is quick and easy to add EAX info to any zones, so it sounds fantastic.

Is anyone aware of a source code that exists for this old mod Infiltration 2.75? Possibly would like to find a way to remove the player specific reload feature so you dont need the mod installed for the guns to auto reload and would like to remove the recoil as well? :)

It was fun, even though I couldn't aim in the UT server.
I was laughing my head-off at the fact I was trying to use the shotgun hoping the spread would help, but I couln't hit anything :lol2:
