Somewhere, I read that there is a Game Type called Jailbreak. Anyone heard of this before?

A .umod will automatically install files into your game folder when you double click on it. Are you looking to play the game on another server or do you want to create your own server?

I was planning to use them on my game, not on a server

i heard of Jailbreak It is almost simular to CTF, only then you have to kill the other team, if captured, you can be released from the jail in 3 ways
-Switch (normaly if its in a original CTF map, it is on the Flag spot)
-Jailfight (Fight your freedom in a duel with a person from the other team)
-Secret way to escape jail (not always in a map)

Ok, played some maps and took a look in the ed with the result.. weird gametype.
JB-Alcatraz for example has a seperate area which seems not to be connected with the main- symmetrically map. I dont know who to get there or havent simply undestood the right to exist of this area.
Furtheremore I had read something about an other way to escape if you are prisoned...
so anybody here who could explain me that??

I never built a JB map, but I know some stuff there, as I had taken a look to JB maps too.
Those maps that have an area totally independent from the rest of the map, is the place that you can "fight" for your freedom

When you are in jail, you have 1 or 2 options to escape:
1 - Always on any JB map, that is your own team release you;
2 - Some maps that have that "independent areas" is for a deathmatch against another prisioner from the other team, and who wins that match, is released.

If the map contains an escape route then you can try to get through it and free yourself. Some escape routes require you to make human ladders to reach them. Some take away a lot of your health. The escape routes usually contain obstacles but they are all possible to get through.

Yeah, you're right there, so there's 3 options

But I never found a map with that possibility, maybe I never took a look to well to that...

But independent areas are for the 2nd option I told you about , not for those secret escapes.

For the 3rd type you often need help from teammates. Not all JB maps got this opinion...I know some of them, like:
JB-EternalCave
JB-Deck16
..and a few more.

I love Jailbreak, i ve played it sometimes with InstaGib on Truff servers (they are closed now )
