CTF4 / CTFM

Post by EvilGrins »

There are 2 things you should know about me. Well, there's more but so far as UT is concerned just the 2:

1) I am a sucker for 4-way Capture the Flag. I think it's the best type of game ever developed. If it were possible to incoroporate a new color into the game I'd even go for 5-way or more.

2) My all time favorite map is HallOfGiants. I have the 2nd design for CTF, the one where gameplay is below but the flag bases are all the way at the top. I have it for standard deathmatch, including an extra large version where someone basically extended the map to an entire double length with a more reddish theme (and really crappy music). I also have it for Domination, blue themed with a more interesting ramp design in the upper middle.

Didn't make these maps myself, I'm just good at finding stuff when I want it.

Usually.

I just found out there's a CTFM-HallOfGiants, 4-way play. Haven't tried it, just downloaded it, but I wanted to share the link:

Here's the other maps I currently play:

CTF4 / CTFM Quick review

Post by EvilGrins »

The gravity is still low but higher than standard for HallOfGiants. More or less, the DOM version is a little higher than the CTF and this CTFM is a smidge heavier still.

Good play, bots don't get confused at all that I can tell.

Can you link to these variations you're talking about? They sound interesting

Go here:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/listing/ ... l/nalicity

May take a bit of time to load depending on your system.

Under 'Enter Search Terms' enter: hallofgiants

That's most of them.

I can't decide which multi CTF mod is the best: CTF4, CTFplus or CTFM. Can anyone help?

TEchnically CTF4 & CTFM are the same thing. At least, I've got both and all the maps they use are the same.

CTFplus was cool because when the score was low, to a specified degree, a Team Titan would pop up on your side to help even things out. Granted, it had way too many options built in and was a tad tempermental, but fun nonetheless.
