Well, as the title already explains, I want to talk about Races gametypes that I just thought about:

RACE:
  • RULES: The racer who reaches the End/Lap point as much times as specified wins.
  • SHOOTING: All the racers can shoot each other.
  • PENALITY: When a racer dies or goes off track, it will wait a specified time and then, it will spawn at the last point it was alive and not off track.
TEAM RACE:
  • RULES: The team who reaches the End/Lap point as much times as specified wins. (This means, even if a racer, or part of its team, reached the end/lap point, it will need all the other racers of the same team to reach it and effectively get the lap(or finish the race).
  • SHOOTING: All the teams can shoot each other.
  • PENALITY: When a racer dies or goes off track, it will wait a specified time and then, it will spawn at the last point it was alive and not off track.
LAST RACER STANDING (Similar to "Eliminator" game type on Burnout Dominator):
  • RULES: The racer who remains alone wins.
  • SHOOTING: All the racers cannot shoot each other.
  • PENALITY: When a racer: dies; goes off track; has been the last racer for a specified amount of time, it will be disqualified and loose the race.
[ADDITIONAL FEATURES]:
  • RELICKS AND PICKUPS: Just like MarioKart pickups, here you can touch an actor that will randomly give you a Relic or a Pickup.
  • RECORD: like BTs, but records are related to the racer who ended the race the fastest.
<FOR MAPPERS>: The ways and the kind of maps are up to the mapper, it would be nice to see like, w00t-races; BT races; separated races, like every team/racer is separated from the others by a wall, but it can still shoot from a slot in the wall.

[MAIN CODES OBJECTIBES]:
  • END/LAP POINT: Will be a ZoneInfo, so it can be placed along a line(or whatever shape we want)
  • RACE TRACK: Same as the End/Lap point, so the it can tracks if a racer went off track or not.
[MAIN CODES PROBLEMS]:
  • BOOST: The racers might not be boosted from racers of the same team, except if the FriendlyFire is active.
  • TRACKER: There should be a tracker for every racer, that will remember the last good position of a racer before it dies or whatever.

Someone a stretch back made an racing gametype mod, with cars.

Don't remember where I saw that.

Can't remember that I've seen one and I'm active since 2000 ...would be cool to have it (if it's well done).

I thought about a race x domination gametype-mix ...race to the next checkpoint and gun your opponent down before he can reach it to claim the point for yourself. To collect a weapon (with limited ammo) you have to drive/fly over a random weapon spawner. The player on the last position gets instantly the Reedemer.
The checkpoints are placed along a racing track and get disabled if someone goes through to collect the point.

These models remind me of F-Zero now that I think about it...
FALCON PUNCH!

Seriously, having a huge map and fast hover racers would be amazing... even in the middle of UT games lol.
Now if it got mixed with RX... you'd have the slow armored vehicles and the racers for flag runs lol.

I think racers would be pretty nice with vehicles n without too :D I bet players would of try their best to lap. Sometimes I think it like "GTA Races" on GTA IV. XD

This could be interesting as well.

Hover racers ...you wouldn't be limited by a buggy driving physic. You fly, but your hight is restricted. I like this.
