It's a game type, and i was wondering what are the general opinions of the one's that played on servers with maps and configs that make up this game type.

well its kinda simple, just as BT nowadays is all about having the rec, some Funnel maps is about being the first to get to the post spot (best spot on a Funnel map is the map with like 10-12-20 Reedemers) , there are also maps where you need to have ACC, or just being very fast..

The main thing is that all mods are combined..DM (there are NW on maps aswell), some insta with the enhanced shock, mass damage, mass killing, knowing the maps and especially a well balanced DM player, agile..being a good sniper also help..thats why all kind of skill is useful on Funnel servers.

Yeah! I know what it is now, I played it sometimes but in UT2004, never played it in UT99, as I never knew that existed in this game too.

I liked those maps, the general rules that I aplly into myself is run from the midlle of the map, and go to the sniper spots and doing some headshots from above, really cool.

hahaha true, well the best spots are kinda oposite of the map

Take for example EVo maps ( EVo II III) the reedemers place its opossite of the sniper place (ofc the sniper place has inviz there, sniper ammo, shield and the sniper weapon) and when some dude gets to the top where there are dozens of reedems, u HEASHOOOT them, kinda sucks for the reedemer guy but a good laugh for the sniper, u just imagine that guy with the reedemers equipped "OMG im gonna have a MMMonster Kill" and then BOOM HEASHOOT.. hahahah gotta love it

Yeah, but what's that server IP? I want give it a try (I like massive killing servers ).

well so save u from typing all of those numers, its much easier, just type in Open Location > ut.xentra.ro and voila..for further info, like IP to put in favorites (i hope so ) ill type it in

Just trying the server, played 2 games against bots (and owning them of course), then I left since I saw nobody around.
With players it must be very fun

Do I need to download anythin gto play on the servers? I seem to remember being rejected from them.

Jut so u know..i live in Romania..so the Funnel server is Romania host..but i have good peering and good ping for people around the world (xXx can u tell me your ping if u can remember or make a test maybe ? please ) ..yeah u need to download some things..maybe not ASC and MapVoteLA13 if u are a regular internet game server player..but u need to download the maps and other stuff..but it wont take long as far as i know..

I would like to see more peeps on the server..i usually play..and if im no there i always check my serv for peeps and if i see any online i hop in immediate..

maybe the servers is not configured well..but i made it for FUN cause i got banned from a funnel server so i decided to make one..

hope to see some online and im sure we'll have a blast !

My ping today was between 105 and 120, but my ping is always that way even on the fastest servers, so your server is alright with me.

got some new updates on the server, i think u could like them..a lil 2k4 intro ut99, looks cool, just press f1 f2 and f3 when u enter

I play a lot on the 'Explosive Server' and that has a lot of funnel maps too.
Sometime those funnel maps are quite cool, sometimes I swear that they are the gayest thing ever.
Tried your server, nothing spectacular IMO.

I like the scoreboard on my server though, can be useful
