I dont think it will work, there are some issues in the released xpickups version regarding online functionality, however we are working on a patch. Hope this will fix those issues.

I am sorry, but this is NOT possible. The pickup stuff in the maps is directly added from the xpickups package. Moreover some maps are using features and pickups which do not exist in the "normal" UT. I dont know what Ferali thinks about a "Mutator for a Mutator" (in your case a Shock Arena Mutator for xpickups), afaik it would means that a new mutator would overwrite again an other mutator. It raises the question if this is worth the trouble.

Uhh Edit: I tested it out.. xpickups Mutator (Feature of patched version) + Sniper Arena, it works, he only forgot that with the ammo packs, I still saw rocketpacks, minigun ammo around the snipers..^^
At least this should be possible.

What Creavion said.

Maps which use directly the XPickups pack, are just like the RX maps that use additional mods like BPak.

Some of these maps don't use the XPickups features at all, and in this case, you have to ask those maps owners if they are willing to make a version of their maps without XPickups, but other maps use some of the new features that don't even exist in the standard UT (like Creavion said), like triggering, weapon lockers, new pickups and wildcards, there's no way to take out the XPickups from there, otherwise the original gameplay idea will be broken, or in the worse case, certain sections of the map would have to be remade, simple as that.

I can add more support for arenas (apparently, only the ammo isn't replaced by some weird reason :what: ), but other than that, you would have to ask the mappers to take off that pack from their maps, and personally I think almost no one will have that trouble (and since the problems are downloads, don't forget that some maps have more than 20M of filesize).

But you can try to PM each map owner and ask, but I don't know what their answers are gonna be, since that's no longer in my hands.

My question is a simple one. When can we expect a working UT99.org server? (whit or whitout custom maps/mods)
There are awesome populated servers that don't even use mapvote.
The previous deadline was CMP2 . . . that was weeks/months ago . . .

Finally downloaded the pack and tested most of the maps. I think they all look amazing, some of them though, dropped my framerate to the bottom, to the point of being unplayable =(

I don't like the fact that some of the maps are too UT2k4, I think they would just be better on that game, without framerate issues and probably would look better.

But again, awesome maps, great layouts, many details around and good lightning, great job! =D

First let me say that Ilike that Avatar Phorce uses. Next is you guessed it.....a stupid question: Where can I grab the Map Pack #1. If there is a #2, I suspect there is a #1. Please link me to it! Thanks!

Well, yes, there was a first one, but was quite a failure (I am not anywhere proud of it, specially relative my own ugly map which I made when I was still making my first steps into UT). The original topic is here:
http://www.ut99.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=804&start=0

However, all links are dead, so unless you find someone with this pack to upload again, well... (I don't have it myself anymore).
But honestly, you don't loose much relative this pack, although there are somewhat some interesting maps.
