CBP2 question

Post by JackGriffin »

I know I'm a little late to the party but can someone take a moment and explain the situation with the CBP2? I wanted to add it to the forum's server but it looks like a mess of mismatches from the updates. Was this just not meant for online play?

Actually, it is, at least Ferali spent a lot of work into it, to make it online working.

Well...
1. There is the main pack, with the xpickups Files 1.0
2. There is a Bonuspack/Patch, with 2 additinoal maps by me, with xpickups Files 1.1
3. There is an other final "hotfix" with xpickups files 1.3 (1.2 was never officially released).

Hmmm, FERALI???

Works online, and yeah, it has some mismatches, as the pack was integrated in several maps, and no one was using it online anyway back then so I thought I could still give the same name until someone actually put it online (afaik Shade used them in his server for a month or 2, and so did Qwerty, but I don't know anyone else).

The right one to use is the very last one: patch 1.3, as it's the last update and it won't receive any further ones.
If you want to use it with the CMP2 maps, it has to have that name, but in case you just want to use the mutator, to avoid mismatches just rename the .u file and update the .int and .ini files and it should work I think.

No problem, thanks for the explanation. I added the CBP2 maps to the forum's server, they are ready to be played.
