Can't Seem to get it working on VISTA

Hi,

I Can't seem to get my UnrealED working on Vista.
Since my own pc crashed, i'm glad i can use my dads pc. but this one is running on vista.

I once had the editor working on an laptop runnning at vista. so im wundering why this is happening.

Does anyone has any ideas for me?!

@Image: Huh.. uhm just use a imagehoster like imageshack.us or abload.de or use the attachments for a pic. I will not download a picture. :roll:

Hmmm massive error you got. I'm also sure this wont work, but maybe try it to open "as administrator" (just right click on the Unrealed.exe and search for administrator

Allready tried. didnt work.
Also tried running it as compatible windows xp sp2.
Also tried changeing vista skins etc.

Weird thiing is. didnt have thisproblem at the laptob with vista.

Looks like something messed up with your UT installation rather than it's incompatible with Vista (it's not!). Reinstall your game and apply latest patch if its not already up-to-date.

allready reinstalled twice, + tried runnning it on stock patch, not work. 436 not work, 451 not work -.-!!

Try deleting UnrealEd.ini and then run UnrealEd.exe again.

You did delete the UnrealTournament directory completely before you reinstalled the game right? You may try different location this time.

did, changed directory also,

Currently installed ut2k4, and loaded up that editor. That editor works. so it has to be an error with my windows vista and unrealeditor 2.0.

Latest instal of my game came from the wootabulous.nl website.
No Addons, nothing changed, no patches. but still the same error.

somehow it seems that a file ( might be unrealshare ) gets blocked by vista or so..

You installed it from UT CD-ROM, right, and its not somewhat modified?

got 2 copy's installed atm.

One directly from my original CD. Not modified etc. ( no mutators / mods and that shit )
And the other came from woutabulous.nl website as an full game download. Also no modified ...

both aint working somehow

Currenly I can't think what's wrong with your UnrealEd :noidea
Fact is that something is conflicting with it (missing/corrupt files, blocking security software etc.), because I know for sure that isn't purely Vista issue since I've ran UT (and UnrealEd) on numerous Windows Vista machines without any issues.
You could try obtain (if possible) another UT installation disc and try to install game from there.
I'll post some ideas here if I get some..

well its deffinatley not vista thats doing it it is just a configuration error you need to completley erase both ut99 folders from your computer including the recycling bin then re-install it to the C:/ drive not program files and do it from the disc if not i can get you a clean NoDelta version and if that doesnt work then try doing a system restore to liek a month ago.. usually UT tends to keep history's when you re-install even if its in the trash bin (I have had similar problems)
