Can't Seem to get it working on VISTA

well currently i reinstalled the game like 3 times ;p clean. different destination folders etc.

what u say about security stuff.. shouldn't it be weird if the vista firewall blocks that file?! oO! but ill try it when its off..

from what you said its definatly not vista .. its one of those random bugs that UT gets every once in a while

Well, I really doupt it has something to do with Windows Firewall. I meant other stuff like antivirus/background system protection software..

Problem solved.

What i did. was quite unusual tough LOL.


step 1 . Put my old harddisk onto this computer wich included windows XP.
step 2 . Booted up Windows XP, wich made my vista die, deu you can only do that if you have xp installed FIRST, and than vista.
step 3 . reinstalled windows vista on the main harddisk
step 4 . booted windows vista.
step 5 . reinstalled every drivers and applications cause they didn't work anymore deu i didn't do a FORMAT C:/ but only an new instal of the operating system
step 6 . started up unreal editor without any problems


so for anyone who gets the same problem.
Try fucking up vista by using XP, than reinstall vista and ur problem is fixed.. LOL
