We had a 64x64 contest on Doomworld (grid) a few months ago and it did end very well ^_^
really like this idea! I would still find a way to mess up the BSP!

Alrighty, we have the theme, now it's only a few more things:
- Should the skybox be included in the limitation (the area where you put the SkyZoneInfo thingy :P )? (I say yes)
- Should there be a batch/banner to put in the map? (I say yes)
- How many max submissions can there be for a mapper? (I say UNLIMITED)
- Do we allow KingJosh to go over the top with custom packages again? :ironic: (I say as long as it's not over 150 MB its ok)

Really need some opinions for this

Sky box can be made tiny and still look the same. So could find a space within the limits for it easy.
banner would be good
unlimited submissions
no opinion on silly packages custom stuff, only if its too silly or hi-rez my laptop may explode!

-Don't know, but I say yes ...or it isn't a limitation :satan:
-Oh man, again? ..............I say yes.
-Unlimited is big word. Let's say as much as the mapper is able to make in the time limit.
-No ...sorry KJ.

Yes to skybox. There's a generous amount of z-axis with a 3072 cube. A skybox should easily fit above/below the map.
Yes to banner.
Max 500 submissions per mapper.
KingJosh can submit a 1 TB map if he wants, but a map with a huge filesize won't be included in the mappack.

A skybox should not have anything to do with the rules. :!:

Lol I think he's saying that the skybox should stand outside of the 3072 restriction.
Again, I seriously doubt that anyone will be using the full height of the 3072 box (unless you're making something like DOM-Horean) so a skybox should be able to be placed above or below the main map area.

A skybox can be a 64*64 cube inside one of the map's pillar, there's no reason to leave it outside these constraints.
You must construct additional pylons.

Noooo, you don't play in a skybox, it could be a 10,000uu cube, I just think it's a non issue for the map-mapping as we know it. But whatever you guys do is ok by me, I can't do any mapping for a while, needing to finish one up is killing me.

Definitely don't want it to interfere with Thanksgiving & Christmas, that was the problem with the last contest.

Just saying...

No, he meant a small subtractive cube hidden inside an additive pillar. Nobody can see or play it, but the skybox's there, inside the limit. :P

That is creative (and funny!).
