[WIP] Ghost in the Shell chase

Post by Eviltom »

The new film trailer gave me nostalgia for the original film, and i decided to make a map from my favorite scene... https://youtu.be/z2mXrndt1ZIstill very much a work in progress, already plays great with jump match and CS weapons, will need to add a few invisibility as well, it should make a fun atmospheric slower paced 1v1 duel/stalking/sniping map (a bit like the original scene). but will be large enough to host many players.

Hmmm... I like the visuals. But I doubt the playability. :|

I dunno, I've seen some fairly large cities with decent playability in them regardless.

It won't be HUGE there is this large water area a longish (but shorter than the film) alley way, then a canal at the other end, then i am going to add a few interconnecting alley ways.and some routes across the rooftops to join it all up.... Playability and flow are always high on my priorities when making a map

Sorry for the necro-bump, but is there any news on if this got finished?

I got a bit stuck making the large water/dock area blend into the distance as it does on the anime. My choices were try and blend it into a skybox (didn't work, never does!) Or make a huge bsp backdrop... Which didn't go to plan! So I may have to take some artistic licence with it. Life has been a bit hectic so have limited time to map. Hopefully the new film with re-ignite my imagination :lol2:
