Deck 16 Xmas map?

Post by Pileyrei »

Does anyone know of a Xmas Deck 16 map?

Preferably not with new areas, just Christmassy :)

I haven't found one so far and am thinking about making one for next year as we host a busy DECK 16 only server.

Thanks
Piley

Check out the Celtic Warriors' site (http://www.celticwarriors.net/Website/D ... mMapsX.htm) - they have two Xmas Deck maps for Unreal - from memory I think they will run and play OK in UT as well (haven't played them for years - I only have the Dark version - maybe the other one didn't work well?).

That's odd because I tried the Dark version in UT out of curiousity after I had posted and it works fine.

Got the same error in UnrealEd2.0 with both DmXmasDeck.unr and DmXmasDeckDark.unr:
Log: New File, Existing Package (Package MyLevel, Package DmXmasDeck)
Log: Failed import: Function Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay (file ../System/UnrealShare.u)
Warning: Failed to load 'MMLXmas2': Can't find Function in file 'Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay'
Warning: Failed to load 'T:\DmXmasDeck.unr': Can't find Function in file 'Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay'
Warning: Failed loading package: Can't find Function in file 'Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay'
Warning: Failed loading package: Can't find Function in file 'Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay'
Additinally G00gle has found thread "Probleme-mit-der-Datei-DoomPawns-u" (German; short translation: "DoomPawns.u is not build for UT")

The problem can be reduced loading "MMLXmas2.u" - same error as above.

I must have a different version of MMLXmas2.u as I checked it out with UTPT and it doesn't have 'Function UnrealShare.SpriteSmokePuff.PostBeginPlay' in it - I also may, therefore, have a different version of the map - anyway here's mine for you to try out - I've included the version of MMLXmas2.u I have; MMLXmas2Snow.u which may be required; and the original readme file.

Sure that you have used the correct "MMLXmas2.u"?
Here (UT99) it is working now with:

Code: Select all

Name: MMLXmas2.u
Size: 146497 Bytes
CRC32: 17CF1B8A
The broken one is this:

Code: Select all

Name: MMLXmas2.u
Size: 141178 Bytes
CRC32: FCE99F9C
