DM to CTF with LEGOs

Back in the day that KeLLeR was still around and teaching me some basic map-editing skills (possibly due to being sick of my making so many requests... just a theory) he took a LEGO texture pack I submitted and re-textured a HallOfGiants map for me. I've enjoyed that map to death ever since, as I do all maps based on that template, though I've often been despondent over the fact no blue LEGOs were available at the time.

That was a couple years ago.

It occured to me the other day that all the HallOfGiants maps were based off the template of the first one, which was a CTF map. So I renamed the map to CTF and sure enough...

While I still wish I had some blue LEGO textures (CTF theme) this works fairly well as is.

Is it Lego.utx If not gimmy that texture and I create a new texture pack with all colours you need ...or never need but I make them anyway. :mrgreen:

Ah found it it's DavidMLego.utx ...ok you'll get your textures on weekend ...first I have to draw the feet of Vandora. :ironic:

What's different to the original DavidMLego.utx?

Texturing on that grand a scale might be beyond me (could do it but I'd be complaining the whole time about petty things) but kinda.

It's hard to say about the other side. There are parts I could see I'd like for the blue but those sides aren't red on the other side. When KeLLeR textured the map it wasnt setup with team games in mind, so it'd likely need a lot of re-texturizing for that.

I'd have to think about it... but you can always edit it if you like just to see how it looks.

At the very least, the stands where the flags are should be the color of the flag. At the moment the two stands are White on 1 side and Yellow on the other.

I was thinking since the map might be a large brush, it'd probably be hard to split the brush to enable texture to be on the other half of the size. I didn't look at the map yet. But I also thought just adding a thin non-solid layer and just have the blue lego texture. WWUGS? (What would Unreal Goblin Say? - As I'm referring to possible BSP issue or would it not have an issue? lol)

Just select the other half surfaces of the map and add the other texture ...why should there be a problem??

@EvilGrins I checked the two packages and yours is a rip. The author picture and note was deleted and the tire texture.
Everything else is the same.
If I create a new package I would like to leave the authors name and additional textures inside and just add the other coloured bricks.

@EvilGrins Here is your new Lego ...I fixed the colours of the walls and other parts and added new colours... but I left many things as they were.
If you want to re-texture your map you have to use only this texture pack or else it'll look odd with so many different colour shades. The red is much darker and dirtier in the original utx.
