Only new maps... not reused, already build and shipped one.
And I would go for quality not quantity. If you can manage to make more than one map then it's ok. But more than two would be ...I don't know.
I mean 6 weeks, that's not so much time. And other participants could feel steamrolled if someone comes up with 4 or 5 maps.

I say, two maps maximum per participant is enough. For the contest.
For the map-pack can you make some bonus maps, if you like.

I don't like where this is going... but I guess so...
Why, they make good maps.
Because, every time I see someone releasing more than one map for a contest, none of the maps are as good as they could have been if the mapper put all the focus and concentration in a single one.

I photoshopped this in 30min, for those who need a kickstarter / smile on their face opening the editor:

Relace this with the original edsplash

THIS IS FOR THE CHAOS THEME! :D

this should get you a fast mapping / get your map on time !

EDIT, swapped a minor detail, updated splash!

In fact that image has the extension BMP but the format of a PNG file: Image

Very strange indeed, the link randomly changed from "http://picpaste.com/pics/edsplash.1503526797.bmp" to "http://picpaste.com/pics/edsplash.1503545599.bmp"
I edited the post tho .o.

I think the pic hoster tries to avoid the usage of the image only but wants to deliver a HTML page (with ads?) where that pic is embedded. Every time the HTML page is loded, the URL of the pic itself changes. So don't use IMG tags for the link here in forum - then the HTML page will be loaded. (The pic will be deleted anyway two weeks after it has been last viewed.)

So when a pic hosted in my domain is loaded from a domain different than mine I can still see the URL of the other domain? I guess the code isn't on the picture page, but directly on the server software. They could make statistics out of this, that's cool.

I attached the file with the previous post, removing the pic link(since I think that pic hoster actually converted the pic from bmp to png).

"Fast" mapping logo (with that Turbo Editon) presented before has a 16 bit format not 8 bit as original and indeed is fast... crashing editor instantly without even to load. Thanks for now, but is useless without a bit of love - good luck in advance with such files used even in mapping.
[attachment=0]Lol_Logo.PNG[/attachment]

However it do works as a background image for whoever wants to close all viewports - if exist mappers working with no viewports :| .

You are right, I forgot that detail. I re uploaded the picture, try again! (It's in the same post) .
It works now.

My photoshop was lying to me....... I checked the details, it said 16bit on the original! Weird.

Or for the lazy people here is the link to new image as well (working 8 bit edition) : http://crystalunreal.com/Images/edsplash.bmp

I never make DM or non MH or SP these days, but I had this idea, It is was supposed to be a DM but I thought a DOM version would be strangely cool.

The only reason it's not done is texture alignment. or other lesser stuff.
Just use the Chaos textures and decos.
Chaos has an alternative to DOM if you want to make it for that.
