Want to ask, why the long distance images start to glitch when you are away from it(10k+ of space), and ofc how to "fix" it? just look to this screenshots of my renew forest of silence.
For now i added black panels in the middle area to block the view of the enemy base but it doesn't look that right(even with unlit check, if i use another texture other than black, it will be lit)
For context, this is a RX map in a huge battlefield in form of a straight highway(older version had a "L" Form)

Re: Long Distance View Glitch
You can't fix this D, sorry to say. It's a limit of the draw distance that the engine has. You'll have to make your map in such a way that these distances can't be seen by the players or you get the hall of mirrors effect.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Re: Long Distance View Glitch
Afaik, this is only broken up to the latest D3D9 and Chris OpenGL renderer.
I think, although not sure, that from D3D10 onwards, and Smirftsch's OpenGL, fix this exact issue (I do remember Waffnuffy from OldUnreal mentioning this sort of fix in their own OpenGL renderer for their EXU SP campaign, as they had the same issue).

Re: Long Distance View Glitch
And map is not playable well by plain player - at least EPIC were closer to the rules. Another hit is some title "MH-(Xenoyia)MysticalForest.unr" if I'm not mistaking in name, which do sucks by default.
Tracing on such maps takes ages lagging... good luck with these ideas.

Re: Long Distance View Glitch
good to know, i will just adjust it so it doesn't need to draw alot in the area

Re: Long Distance View Glitch
AFAIR these effects appear if the distance exceeds 2^15=32768 UU.Diego_HoF wrote:i will just adjust it so it doesn't need to draw alot in the area
