Re: Recording In game footage.
Well, there's a command, "demo rec" or something to record movies and stuff, but only to a specific unreal file. You had to record it this way and use a program like fraps later, or just use fraps directly, but I don't know if the performance would be better or worse.
Well, I never used that command, but I guess there's someone who knows this well.

You use UT demomanager 3 then you can watch the recorded part later again but can change view there and so on aswell and then you can record out of that the parts you wanna have with fraps.

Re: Recording In game footage.
There are many programs that can record what's happening on the screen.
Also there is an UT program which dumps out the rendered images to files.

Re: Recording In game footage.
Thanks for all the replys, looks like It's probably going to be FRAPS as MovieUnreal++ dosent record sound.
Demo manager looks like It's been updated so hopefully It's not bugged still :

Have bookmarked/downloaded the software, just need to finish the map I'm working on first.

Well, yes, because if you want speed, it can't compress right away. You have to record first with a resonable speed (and a good free space in the HD), then you can compress it and delete the 1,5Gb file.Rob_Master Builder wrote:Now have FRAPS and have had some fun playing with It but Christ, a couple minutes of In game footage and I'm hitting 1.5gb!!

Re: Recording In game footage.
I can recomend this program http://www.aone-soft.com/mobile_3gp_video_converter.htm
i have supplied the trial download page. it converts (output files) more than just to 3gp for phones and its one of the best converters I have found. there are many variables you can use from screen sizes to fps. deffo worth testing with the trial.
Another I favour is "video convert master" found on the right of the page 6th one down...
has many different things it will convert between these 2 progs I recomend there is not much I have not been able to convert.

Btw. theres loads of converters on that last link I provided so I am sure you will find one you like

Personally I use a program called Videosoft or something similar. It comes with Paintshop Pro ( a Photoshop ripoff).
Also the problem with UT REC command is that when you replay the video by using REC PLAY (or whatever the command is) is that fraps records it with great trouble, and also while viewing from first person the gun is never orientated to the view.
