Why couldn't this be previous year when I had time as a dinosaur? As much I want to join this this, I simply don't have the time.....

You know what. Fuck it. Sign me in . But don't expect much progress. :pfff:
You know I can't resist this.

Also I have a prize to offer too! If I can not manage in time, I will be offering it next year if able...

Posted about this to about 2 dozen forums, although https://www.vulpinemission.com/forum/portal already had a link to it.

We maybe have some judges (or just one) from UnrealSP.org
I think that judges will get the same points like the participants. Those guys are hardcore regarding good maps

I might give it a shot! These are really fun and they really improve my mapping skills. Plus I haven't delved into UT mapping in a while. Need to get my gears goin.

Well, the 'thing' for the prize - one of them anyhow - will be, as always, a new Korean big box edition of UT. I will sort through my collection and see if I have anything else or maybe something different to offer, but for now, that's it. I will update in a day or two if I can find anything new.

Always glad to see a new contest come up and wow...Flak is watching and throwing in some stuff too! Very exciting indeed!

I'm not someone known for wanting to restrict artistic freedoms, I hate censorship and restrictions in media, specially in videogames, but I wish we had more guidelines for this mapping contest than just "awesome". I think that the maps would come up better individually and as a whole, being a pack, if we had some sort of ideas that the maps had to follow up, that would make this thing a little more cohesive. That's just my opinion, I can't say yet if I will be participating, but this guidelines I'm proposing we vote on would make me consider it.

The last time we made votings about nearly everything, too much drama showed up.

I wrote also:
Think about the 20th anniversary. Show off your prowess ...make us all proud.
You could make an astonishing remake of a stock map.

I could say "make something unreal" ...but that phrase is already "copy righted" ...years before
Surprise us with something unique or just breathtaking.

We will have at the end of the contest the Participants Vote and the Gamers Choice vote.
I plan to implement the Judges to be part of the Participants Vote even so they didn't submit a map. And maybe give them more points they can distribute.
(This time I want to have a clear winner)
The Gamers Choice is just a marginal voting where the community can decide which map they liked the most. But the GC vote isn't to declare the winner of the contest.

any thoughts?

What is the UT swag bag exactly? Is this something digital or like a real bag? Clothes or something?
