Hey Folks,

here i will show you the progress of my Map for the AMC Contest.

Description:

For the mapping contest, i've tried to catch the spirit of original UT maps rather than freaking out in the editor and spread around eyeporn like nothing else. DM-Stalwart and DM-StalwartXL were one of my favorite maps so i started a complete rebuild of StalwartXL. The basic floorplan is kept more or less the same but this map is spiced up with a tiny bit of Z-Axis fighting, some eyecandy (not much) and more ways to escape. Currently i'm working on improving the geometry to make the map looking a bit more interesting and complex.

Currently, there is no playable map available. I have to pan out some problems and want to rollout the map not before these issues are fixed.

I hope the screenshots will give a good impression how the map will be working

The original Stalwarts were really atmospheric maps as they depicted the same style the intro had.
A futuristic mechanic shop which now gives place to bloody-battles. :highfive:

I decided to spice up the looks. Currently working on bot pathing and i have problems to teach the bots to run through certain places. If you take a look at the screenshot, there is a catwalk above the metal gate. Bots that coming from the upper entry never jump down to the heath vials.

Several people here can get bots to do a handstand if that's what you need. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
All mazes should have a minotaur.

I remember playing the Stalwart maps when I first got UT99 wayyyyy back in about 2001/2,. Was immense fun learning the game and playing etc, but the Stalwart maps always left me wanting a tougher experience, and now I think you may have achieved that, it'll be interesting to see how it plays. :tu:
