Thumbnail preview of stock Textures
I remember there was a web site where all stock Textures were listed with name and a small preview… Either it has closed or I don't remember its name. Does anyone know such or similar? (I think that https://wiki.beyondunreal.com/ would be a right place fur such.)

Seems the stock textures preview has gone.
How do you choose textures? If you for example have a tech based environment and you want a texture for a door, how do you find a matching one?

For me, by browsing the textures in the editor...
I know most of the stock texture packs and what could be found in there.

Re: Thumbnail preview of stock Textures
I have a folder with all stock textures (exported as bmp) in sub-folders named for each utx.
I just browse with win10 image viewer whenever need to have a look.
Note not ALL textures work, obviously... like fire textures, etc.
here is a download for anyone too lazy to export them all themselves
Cheers
Note2: I leave these as the raw BMP rather than compressing them so they can be edited in Photoshop etc, if you need to use them as bases for new custom ones.

Re: Thumbnail preview of stock Textures
there is a flaky old texture viewer program that may help looking at various UTX packs. It doesn't like modern HD textures tho

Re: Thumbnail preview of stock Textures
I thought about a little web project for browsing the stock textures with an extended search for categories like ancient, sci-fi, medieval etc. Maybe if i get some free time.....

I believe you mean http://www.unrealtexture.com/ which used to have a forum but the admin got tired of moderating it.
Not sure how well it's been maintained since.
