ya, sorry regarding the missing dependencies.
I did have a beta that contained the creavion giant texture files but i removed it.
this kind of file-bloat seemed rediculous when everyone would already have facepalm
and antalius in their ut99 map collections.

Same situation exists for a bunch of other fnb beta maps, which at some point i'll get arsed and release them ;P

Hey FNB. Remember that arch in your map that I liked. Well, and this is kind of funny, bear with me, I've been working on this boat for a few months, It's out of the water now, and I walk around it 4 or more times a day going and getting tools out of the truck etc and I just noticed this today and went and found an old picture to show you what i discovered. I've been seeing this arch , that was identical to the arch in your map for months and never really noticed it. But i guess that my subconscious did see it, and maybe that's why my brain was thinking your arch in the map should have blue stripe too. lol (this boat has a blue stripe all the way down both sides) Is that funny or what?
I suppose the red base would have to have red stripes which blows my subconscious thought all to heck. Well, I just thought it was funny and worth a share that my brain works in mysterious ways unbeknownst even to me sometimes.
Your nautical themed map may have helped to make the connection. I don't know.

It' a large file texture UTX,,,,not a .U

It has 50+MB compressed 7zip - download it from a public redirect - yes, it's UTX not U.

okay time to wrap this. while covid kinda crapped on things last year, I think it's time to complete a few projects that have been sitting around - this one was almost done. So I've started building some audio bits to use - looking to simulate passible rapture noise. There's really not much in ut99.

In the meantime, any other feedback or thoughts on this? I think I have most of the points from this thread addressed.

I think rather than spinning another BETA, I'll just finish it for release and let the beast out (erm, once the sound work is done).

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback so far ... you're in the readme

There was a contest - 20th Anniversary Mapping Contest/Mappack - held here at ut99 during November - December 2019. So that was a month or so. I think it was to just build something cool - whatever you like. I'd had the idea for a while to build an underwater locale based on rapture (from Bioshock) a small campaign. So during November, I played Bioshock, Bioshock2, Minerva's Den,
Bioshock Infinite, and Burial at sea 1 and 2. To get a feel for it. I also spent a lot of time making textures. That didn't really leave much time for actual UED, lol. Like usual, I missed the deadline :P
After Christmas I crunched the thing together and released this beta. So I'd guess it took me around 50 hours between the contest period and early january 2020 to get the thing to this point.
Almost there...
