I have a general question: Is it important to optimize the geometry in a map? Because without optimizing I have less BSP Holes and errors in my map than with it...
Besides takes the time of optimizing much longer than normla rebuilding. So is it necessary?
Optimizing Geometry Important ?

Re: Optimizing Geometry Important ?
Optimizing, you mean go to "rebuild all" and tweak the BSP optimization?
Then no. Or better, that can solve and optimize your map indeed, or can even screw it up.
The optimizing thing should only be used as a last resource when you can't rid of some critical BSP errors, other than that, it's better to not optimize IMHO.

maybe it shouldnt be a bad idea to think first about your many solids in your map, thats mostly the reason of your many bugs bugs, dude

What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills
Thanks to those who visibly supported me until/at the end!

I do what I can Thanks for the answers

Re: Optimizing Geometry Important ?
It is not required yet it's mostly better. A highly optimized map has better performance. I've tested this quite a few times, and in most cases optimized maps had a lot better performance, not just a 1-4 FPS difference.
It ultimately depends on how you map. There are a few things which are visible when you don't optimize and some things that don't. Also some surfaces of some semisolid brushes tend to be invisible when you don't optimize.
