This is a censored version of one of the maps provided by the mapper known as Pornstar.

I found this guy's stuff awhile back, great maps but he plastered porn all over the place, some in picture frames where it kinda made sense but often on virtually every available surface. More than that, I later learned he didn't make the maps himself, he was an editor similar to me... but unlike me he eliminated all the info of the actual mappers and credited himself entirely.

That is not cool, and I've had not much luck tracking down the original mappers that made these to re-credit them.

Anyways, this is an arena style map with a vaguely coliseum theme and underground passages. Stay on your toes, Bob can win too.

I replaced the porn with Skaarj portraits from ut2004.

Just played a little botmatch on this map, and from what I can tell, bots make pretty good use of the space. The skybox is rather cool, too. Gives a sort of illusion of being in a bigger space than you actually are.

The map itself doesn't look bad at all. It's rather small, but again, the skybox gives the illusion of being a bigger space.

Also, this might be my first time hearing of "Pornstar". That dude must have had a weird obsession with porn to take a map and plaster it everywhere, especially in places where it wouldn't make any sense to have it there. And honestly, I think it's probably for the best that all the porn was removed/censored. Hosting that stuff can cause issues such as sites being flagged as "adult content" and downlisted or even blocked in certain countries because of it, especially countries where it's illegal.

Whoever the original creator of the map was, I'm sure they would not be happy to find out that some dude named "Pornstar" took their map and put porn everywhere, and then on top of that, replaced their name with his own, thus taking credit for stuff he didn't make. I'd call that a dick move.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was wrong about bots using the space. They don't make good use of the space, especially with the elevator.

But I only work on them every so often, there's like 20 of them total.

...apparently he had his own server and re-did the maps for his own games, though that doesn't excuse the removal of the original mappers' details.

Curiously, he's got a problem with me restoring the maps, though I can't see why.

Don't lie yourself, because no, they were not using space as it was possible, there is a sort of lift there which was not really pathed properly - they were very clumsy over there. Later I was looking somewhere for an issue at geometry. It cannot be fixed because... it is stripped...

I don't see XXI century and 20 years of UT here just Garbage. What is good is that Map-Name is changed to Arena6 or else at unrealarchive.org it would be Xth map with name "DM-Arena", the mostly with bugs and stupid excuses at "known bugs" section...

After introductions, it's normal and polite to be known Bugs.
By example this one...

has reduced paths and lift mapped properly.
Known Bugs:
- Links really heading Bots in all spots are not supporting NewNet craps for Teleporters (these are guarding themselves somehow) and I think they will trash them out letting things to work normally - I did not test these because I won't install any NewNet;
- Berserker might be clumsy there because it's too damn fat - Slow down with burgers, boy...;
- probably geometry issues that are... not an easy fix without brushes...
All paths-net has 350 reachSpecs, yes, it's how I see XXI century, eating 0.2 % CPU and aiming battery powered machines sun-light based...

Edit: Ah, yes, resources are stripped as long as brushes are stripped so we need to keep assets stripping traditions :sleep: .

Let's say that I did something using 469b and I've got a colliding wall - indeed, I don't see decals over there but... it's a wall - even if map doesn't have brushes.
I have to look for other messed up ones this way, perhaps they can be fixed...

Edit3:Map DM-1on1-DavidM2 has also a non-colliding wall (set as portal for no reason) and brushes out of map, but... said "wall-portal"

can be a colliding wall - also won't have decals but has a wall reaction not a hiding spot.
The Map Arena6 with colliding wall solved is this one...
